I don’t know about you, but there are days; sometimes weeks, when my life seems like it’s been hit by a whirlwind, and can barely remain sane.
Yet, we still carry on with our lives. We go to sleep at the end of the day and wake up the next morning and the cycle repeats itself. So, here are 4 things that I find help me when life seems to be a little more than crazy:
- Stop and take a few breaths
- Be a “skeptimist”, i.e. consider the worst and expect the best
- Make a list of things that need doing. If you already have a list a mile long, and can’t even prioritise it, then close your eyes, pick one and get on with it. Just doing something can lift the lethargy you may experience when things get too much.
- Believe that this soon shall pass. The abstract nature of life is there for us to fully experience, and that includes the craziness, the lows, the highs, the lulls, the peace.
What do you do to keep sane?
