I jumped on here to write my post and realised that I missed May out completely!
Life under lock-down has flown by and I have been consumed with sowing lots of seeds for both my personal life and our businesses. I saw the time as one where we could make shifts, not just because of the situation, but where we want to be in the future. So whilst the first month of lock down, I felt that we were in a chrysalis stage. In my previous blog, I wrote about this. It was a time to ponder, to visualise, to dream, to feel in the heart a sense of expansion.
Then, through this month of May, there has been the sense of growth and the feeling of blossoming. There is a shift in the air, and along with the energetic shift, there was tension, the tension of the unknown. As all of us around the world know that we truly are moving into a new space. Certainly not in this lifetime for the majority of us, have we experienced what we have, and are still experiencing. The economy has not seen this global reaction for hundreds of years. Undoubtedly, the world, and we, will come out of it and there will come a time when we look back to this period with wonder and awe; to have lived through this.
And as I find myself very comfortable in my cocoon, and realise that as the lock down lifts, I need to ignite the spark in me and move with urgency and intention towards my life goals. If we look at history, we know that time waits for no one, and life moves on. The economy will recover and the world will be a different place.
That brings me to the concept of fire.
Fire had different symbolic meanings for different religious beliefs. For some, fire is associated with purification processes; whilst for others, it is seen as the thing that needs to be extinguished. For some, fire is regarded as life-giving; whilst for others, fire is connected with destruction. I believe both view points are needed. We need to “burn” what is gone, in order to start afresh. We need to close a chapter in our life’s book before starting the next.
So this month, I invite you to explore igniting the spark in you.
Ignite it for your vitality.
Ignite it to purify what is gone.
Ignite it so you can move into this new, unknown, exciting phase of your life.
Ignite it for the new you!
Till next time …
